  • Siblings aren’t the exception.
    It can be difficult for us to establish & enforce boundaries with parents, siblings, or other family members. Yet, make no mistake, not only do you have that right, it also a right that you owe it to yourself to utilize.
  • I’m not the only woman.
    If my brothers’ support of women’s rights starts & ends with me, then I have failed to impress upon them the fact that all women deserve equal rights, not just me.
  • It’s okay to not have a plan.
    It’s okay to not have everything figured out. It’s okay to not have a concrete plan. It’s also okay to change your plan. No matter how old you are, if your current path is no longer suiting you, it’s okay to start over on a different one.
  • Parents are just people.
    Understanding & accepting that your parents are just human beings like anyone else allows you to view their actions with more grace & understanding.
